Baby Won't Ever Sleep 12 Hours
Babies typically need between 10.5 and 12 hours of sleep at night. Some of them need closer to 10.5 hours; others need closer to 12. (Often, the night sleep is longer for babies who nap a bit less during the day and a bit shorter for babies who nap a bit more; however, this is just a guideline. Every baby is different.)
12 hours is within the range of what we see for night sleep, but it’s not the gold star for the best sleepers.
Honestly, it’s just like adults: Some adults NEED 8.5 hours of sleep at night to be okay; others can thrive on 7.
If your baby is sleeping 10.5-12 hours at night, that means your baby is a rock star and is likely getting exactly what that little body needs!
